Women for Women International

Background

Women for Women International invests where inequality is greatest by helping women who are forgotten — the women survivors of war and conict. In Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Sudan, women learn skills to rebuild their families and communities through Women for Women International’s Stronger Women, Stronger Nations Programme. They also amplify women's voices to national and international decision-makers and work to influence policies, processes and agendas that impact women’s lives

Project

I worked with Women for Women International’s Global Policy and Advocacy team during a particularly busy period to support global, regional, national, and community strategies related to policy and advocacy.

Result

I contributed to their written and oral submission to the UK parliament’s inquiry on Women, Peace and Security, developed a monitoring and evaluation system for the team to measure their policy and advocacy impact, collaborated on projects related to their global consultation ‘From Asking to Action’, and much more.
